Finding "The Right" - Mirta De Perales Deep Conditioner

I often find myself pondering over what new beauty products (or new to me at least) to try. Back in July, I told you all about a few products I purchased at the Latina Magazine expo, but now, I'd like to introduce you to my new BFF Mirta!

Being Latina, it’s often difficult to find a store with the right hair products. Luckily, living in NYC has made that so much easier for me over the years. While at Rite Aid, I decided to take a dive into the clearance bin ( bargain beauty here!). I came across a jar of Mirta de Perales conditioning masque for $4. Most of the time, I find her products to be a bit on the oily side, but decided to give this a try.

After cleansing with my Quinoa Bamboo Strengthening & Repair shampoo, I plopped on a generous amount of MDP conditioner. It’s advised to leave it in for 5-10 minutes, but I’m sure I left it in longer to get the full effect. When I rinsed it, my hair wasn’t overly greasy (which is great!), but to be on the safe side, I rinsed it with cool water again. I let it air-dry and then while still damp, put my hair into two French braids and called it a night.

When I woke up, my hair was curlier than usual (from the braids), but was perfect. There was no excess oil, my hair was soft and bouncy, and feels great (I’m touching my hair as I write this). I couldn’t be any happier and I’m excited to see how it does for day two hair. Keep an eye for an update (which will be posted below this).
